I am a 3rd generation crocheter. For years, I watched my mom and Grams make blankets and clothes out of nothing but a hook and some yarn. I spent my entire childhood trying to learn the craft but could never really get the hang of it. Around the age of 15, my best friend taught me how to finger weave and eventually crochet. It finally clicked! I was so excited that I got home and immediately began working on my first blanket.
I began actively selling crochet items in 2011 while between jobs. Once I was back on my feet, I began making things for myself to wear, whether it be hats or scarves. Between that and the growing popularity of sites like Pinterest, I had friends and family alike begin to ask if I could "make this" for them. That was the beginning of Simply Crochet.
Since starting my Facebook page, I have gotten married, had a baby (our "Sweet P"), and expanded my crochet skills and business. Today, most of the items I make tend to be newborn photo props for the growing number of friends I have starting families & toddler wear, whether that be scarves, hats, headbands, bows, or tunics, but I will ocassionally make something for the grown ups too.

I recently started getting serious about my business and have opened an Etsy shop as well as this blog to run along side my Facebook page and give a more "in depth" look at the method behind the madness. I look forward to getting to know all of you and hope you enjoy my projects and adventures as a SAHM and enterprenuer.
